The Calgary Hotel Association is an independent, member-based organization and the collective voice of Calgary’s hotel sector, representing more than ~60 member hotels. We foster a thriving business environment through advocacy, strategic investment, and collaboration, helping hotels and their teams excel while strengthening Calgary’s tourism ecosystem.

Mika

Myka Osinchuk

Interim Executive Director

Myka Osinchuk is a seasoned executive and consultant with over 25 years of leadership experience, including full P&L responsibility for organizations with up to $45M in annual revenue and $150M in assets. Known for her collaborative leadership and strong communication skills, Myka has successfully guided start-ups, growth initiatives, and major organizational change across sectors such as non-profit, healthcare, academia, technology, energy, arts, and tourism.

Gabriela Amezcua

Manager, Member &
Stakeholder Relations

Gabriela joined the Calgary Hotel Association in 2024 as Executive Assistant, supporting the executive director and advancing the organization’s mission. With a 10-year career focused on culture, community, and environmental initiatives, Gabriela moved from Guadalajara, México to Calgary in 2021. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, ice skating, dining, and exploring new cuisines, as well as cooking and hosting at home to make others feel welcome.

Nichole

Nichole Herman

Director of Finance & Investment

Nichole joined the Calgary Hotel Association in January 2025 as Director of Finance, bringing two decades of experience in building and leading teams across industries. Her career has been complemented by extensive volunteer work in the nonprofit sector, enhancing her ability to connect with diverse communities. Having lived across all four western provinces, Nichole has made Calgary her home and enjoys family time, meditation, yoga, and travel, though the beach remains her favourite retreat.

Jessica Corra

Office Manager & Executive Assistant

Beginning in February 2026, Jessica Corra brings a diversity of administrative and communications experience to the Calgary Hotel Association as Office Manager & Executive Assistant. She began her career in publishing in Philadelphia, PA, USA, but has been proud to call Calgary home for the past 12 years. As a self-avowed lifelong learner, Jessica has pursued eclectic opportunities across sectors and industries, following her love of data, documentation, process iteration, and relationship-building, informed by extensive social services volunteering. She is a staunch EDI advocate with a focus on accessibility. When not working, she can typically be found at her sewing machine; Jessica designs and sells her own quilt patterns. Other interests include style and creativity, volunteering, and her family (including the cats).

Svenja

Svenja Sievers

Accounts Payable Administrator
(Part-Time)

Svenja has been with the Calgary Hotel Association since 2016, starting as Executive Assistant and later taking on financial management and strategic oversight of the Destination Marketing Fund committees. With over 10 years of hospitality experience in roles ranging from Front Office Agent to Area Revenue Manager, Svenja brings a deep understanding of the industry. Born in Germany, she moved to Canada in 2009 and was promoted to DMF Project Manager in 2019 after returning from maternity leave.
