Known for her collaborative leadership and strong communication skills, Myka has successfully guided start-ups, growth initiatives, and major organizational change across sectors such as non-profit, healthcare, academia, technology, energy, arts, and tourism. ![gabriella](https://www.calgaryhotelassociation.com/hs-fs/hubfs/gabriella.png?width=562&height=576&name=gabriella.png "gabriella") #### Gabriela Amezcua ##### Manager, Member & Stakeholder Relations Gabriela joined the Calgary Hotel Association in 2024 as Executive Assistant, supporting the executive director and advancing the organization’s mission. With a 10-year career focused on culture, community, and environmental initiatives, Gabriela moved from Guadalajara, México to Calgary in 2021. She's recognized for pairing deep technical accounting skill with the kind of communication that keeps boards, investors, and teams aligned, and for standing up finance functions and controls where none existed before. With over 10 years of hospitality experience in roles ranging from Front Office Agent to Area Revenue Manager, Svenja brings a deep understanding of the industry.
