# Calgary Hotel Association appoints Myka Osinchuk as Chief Executive Officer

The Calgary Hotel Association has appointed Myka Osinchuk as its new Chief Executive Officer, selecting an experienced executive and trusted strategic advisor to lead the Association as Calgary enters a major period of opportunity in tourism, conventions, events and downtown investment.

Osinchuk has worked with CHA for nearly a decade as a consultant, supporting strategic planning, organizational development and board governance. She played a pivotal role in negotiating the Association's new Master Funding Agreement with Tourism Calgary and has served as Interim Executive Director, guiding CHA through important industry and stakeholder matters during the leadership transition.

“Myka brings the combination of strategic leadership, institutional knowledge and collaborative judgment the Association needs for its next chapter,” said Tiffany Richards, Chair of the Calgary Hotel Association. “She has earned the trust of our Board and many of our members, and she understands that the strength of CHA begins with listening to the owners, operators and teams who drive Calgary's hotel industry every day.”

Beyond her work with CHA, Osinchuk brings more than 20 years of executive leadership and governance experience across the healthcare, nonprofit, philanthropic, research and private sectors. She has led significant organizations and transformation initiatives and is recognized for building effective partnerships and delivering results in complex environments.

“Calgary's hotels are more than places to stay. They are part of the infrastructure that allows our city to welcome the world,” said Osinchuk. “They help Calgary compete for conventions, major events, business travel and leisure visitors, while creating jobs and supporting businesses across the city. I am honoured by the Board's confidence and look forward to working with our members and working with our partners to strengthen the industry's contribution to Calgary.”

During her first 90 days, Osinchuk will undertake a member and partner listening program, meeting with hotel owners, operators, general managers, frontline teams and destination partners to help shape CHA's next phase of advocacy, member service and industry leadership.
